Clare, a journalist with decades of experience with the BBC in Wales, has recently taken over as the Membership Administrator at BBC PA. As well as a long and varied career at the BBC, she worked in the Arabian Gulf and on newspapers in the UK after studying English and Russian at Durham University and postgraduate journalism in London.
More recently she has become involved in working in the health sector. She sat on the management boards of Genomics Partnership Wales as a patient and public representative for two years and is now an alumni and Genomics Ambassador. She is Chair of one of the Health Research Authority (HRA)’s Research Ethics Committees, which safeguard all the patients and volunteers who step forward to get involved in clinical trials in the UK. Clare is also a member of the Guild of Stewards at Llandaff Cathedral, a very keen walker and theatre goer, and is learning Welsh. She loves spending any spare time travelling or being entertained by her three grandchildren.
