Richard Collings, our Treasurer, is committed to representing members’ interests both to the BBC, the Trustees and the wider world.
Richard has applied to become the next Pensioner Elected Trustee on the BBC Pension Trust Board. If elected, Richard will be a bridge between pensioners and Trustees, making them aware of and voicing pensioners’ concerns.

Election statement
I’m currently Treasurer and a Committee member of the BBC Pensioners’ Association (BBCPA), managing all financial matters and contributing to discussions on members’ needs.
Our Pension, Our Future
Our BBC pension is one of the most valuable assets we have. Our future wellbeing depends on it. I have direct experience safeguarding members’ interests, with my background combining more than three decades in BBC editorial, production and leadership positions, working in News, World Service, Business and Science.
Why I’m Standing
I have good analytical skills, financial oversight experience and the ability to assess complex information quickly. As a journalist I covered the 2007/8 global financial crisis, its effect on pensions and the lessons supposedly learnt from market volatility.
