Silver Sunday is a powerful vehicle to draw attention to the problem of loneliness amongst older people. It began locally but is now a National day where people of all generations can come together by hosting fun and free activities for older people. It is a day where older people can meet new people, visit new places, try new activities and connect with their local communities and the generations around them.
This year Silver Sunday is on the 3rd October and it is a day when the nation is asked to pause and think about older people and celebrate their contribution to society and make them feel valued.
Events will be run across the UK and you can find out where they are being held by visiting https://silversunday.org.uk/
