At this year’s AGM we proposed raising the cost of subscriptions for the first time in nearly two decades. However, we pledged that no new increase would be introduced until May 2026.
While none of us wishes to add to the current pressure on personal finances, the BBCPA’s costs have risen substantially in recent years. Printing, postage, the website presence and the cost of staging events across the UK, including the AGM, have to be fully funded.
We’ve discussed again what form the rise should take at our most recent Committee meeting in May. The Committee has agreed that the new cost of annual membership will be £20 from 1st May 2026. Joint membership will rise to £30 per couple.
Life membership, for those over eighty, will cost £100.
We still think this is great value for money for everything the BBC PA offers. The full colour booklets and the newsletters will continue. We know these are very much appreciated, especially by members who do not always have access to the internet.

There’s nothing that needs to be done at the moment and the current price for membership this year remains the same.
