As we prepare to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE day in May there may be some members whose relatives were killed in WW2 or WW1 who are unaware of where their family member is buried. If this is the case then follow the instructions below to hopefully find their grave.
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s mission is to ensure those who died in service, or as a result of conflict, are commemorated so that they, and the human cost of war, are remembered for ever.
Click on this link https://www.cwgc.org/ which will take you to its website. Use the dropdown menu Find Records and click on Find War Dead. Fill in your relative’s details and then scroll down and tick either First World War or Second World War. You can also find lots of information if you click on How to Find War Records WW2 in the same drop down menu.
