CELEBRATING THE CENTENARY YEAR OF THE START OF BBC BROADCASTING FROM PLYMOUTH, 1924
In association with the BEHP, BBC Alumni, the Box, and BBC Plymouth
Come and join us at BBC studios in Plymouth at 1.30 for a 2.00pm start on Tuesday 3 December 2024 and meet with former work colleagues.
There will be talks from the British Entertainment History Project showing the breadth of their collection of interviews with people who have worked in film, television, radio and theatre, specifically highlighting Plymouth; an introduction to the BBC Alumni; an introduction to the benefits of membership of the BBC Pensioners Association and a chance to reminisce watching archive footage of BBC Plymouth in action.
You will have a chance to visit the new studios and to see the old.
Optional visits to the museum at the Box – home to much of the local BBC output in the morning.
