Every year in October, we hold Regional meetings for our members. This year, due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are planning to hold virtual meetings using the Zoom video application. You can access this via any computer with a camera, a tablet or smart phone, and it is absolutely free. If you have not attended a Zoom meeting then we will guide you through the simple process, so please don’t be put off. You will still have all the benefits of our usual Regional Meeting without needing to step outside the door.
We would still like to stick to our intended regional areas; London and the South East, Cardiff and Birmingham, even though Zoom is available to access as a national and international platform. The use of Zoom means that we can share with you BBC archive footage and other edited packages about the BBC Pension Scheme and our excellent members’ Offers. Our Chairman, Albert Barber will be virtually present as will some members of the Committee. As usual, you will be able to ask questions and engage with both Albert and other Committee members. I’m afraid that this year you will have to provide your own tea and biscuits!
This is an exciting new venture for us and and if successful we would like to conduct more Zoom meetings with as many Regions and members as possible.
The dates for your diary are:-
LONDON and SOUTH EAST – THURSDAY 8TH OCTOBER
CARDIFF – THURSDAY 15TH OCTOBER
BIRMINGHAM – THURSDAY 22ND OCTOBER
So why not ‘Come Zoom With Us’ from the comfort of your own home and enter the brave new world of virtual meetings. How to Zoom and further details will be published soon
