The current heatwave will be over by the time you receive this Newsletter.  However, Chief meteorologist Paul Davies has not ruled out another heat plume during August which would bring a return of high temperatures.  That is not good news for those of us who struggle with the heat.   The young and the old are most vulnerable but without common sense healthy adults can also be at risk.  There is much advice on the internet but below are a couple of links to the NHS and Gov.Uk which are helpful and full of good ways to help manage the heat.  Whilst some will be dismissive of these warnings, please take them seriously as extreme heat can be as lethal as extreme cold.
